Sea Kayaking Anglesey had a small article published in the Times newspaper about us. We are always happy to see nice publicity about sea kayaking, and Anglesey.
Calm waters: sea-kayaking off Anglesey
Borth Wen, Anglesey
Families come to this rocky crescent of pale sand for the rock-pooling and safe swimming — and because the dog is welcome, too. Active types come for the sea kayaking, because the sheltered waters and thrilling coastal scenery make this a top spot for novice paddlers. Instructor Phil Clegg — who holds the record for paddling around the UK in 80 days — goes even further, claiming that Holy Island, at Anglesey’s western edge, is “probably the best place in the world” for the pursuit. His two-day introductory courses are hugely popular, and there are still places available in August and September (£155pp; seakayakinganglesey.co.uk).
